When the Russian do it, it's a cope cage.
Ukrainians - a passive anti-drone protection.
When Americans will install cope cages on their tanks it will become a NGAP-TDAP New GenerationAerial Passive Threat Detection and Protection Platform and cost $2 million.

Russians: weld a grill made of rods onto tanks
Jews: copy the Russian grill on the Merkava.
Ukrainians: trolling and laugh at the Russian grill on tanks for a whole year, then copy.
Make a wise-rating from this 3

Steel Cables, 18mm or 22mm Steel cables.

After this war we will definitely see a new generation of tanks that's specifically designed to counter drone warfare

drone breaks propelers maybe land sideways not detonating....and even if it detonates! molten copper jet flies sideways away from tank...so you got good odds it does minimum damage

Adapt or perish, this conflict has brought about adapations which although simple. Work as a deterrent to an extent, to the new wave of drone warfare targeting armoured vehicles.

I recall how the West laughed off these adaptations when Russian forces began putting them into use.

It allows the turret to be able to turn.

What I wonder is how those steel cables do not mess with the FCS

Yeah let's leave half the country without power to glamorise the tank with a fringe haircut

They might be electrically conductive, they are wire ropes and not electric wires.
