I've been using 1903 for about a week now, and I can only guess the Windows developers thought that perhaps 1809 wasn't buggy, unreliable or slow enough for a true Microsoft product - so they've gone ahead and fixed this anomaly.

When I saw my first video about what was released in 1903 I was wondering if I had 1809 yet, because I never checked whether the last big update I had was 1809. I was 85% done downloading 1903.

A bug I found with the new Mic icon in the tray was that it registered that my Yeti USB mic was constantly being used by "Host Process for Windows Services" which I later found out was my integrated Motherboard Audio Drivers, so so long as it is plugged in it shows the mic is being used.


Also sometimes video playback software is not being registered as "in use" so my monitor shuts off after 15 minutes, just like my power settings are set. It happens with Media Player, Media Player Classic and VLC but never with streaming video like YouTube.

This new update is horrible. Stuck in a boot loop, freezes constantly, reordered my boot drives multiple times, gave lower FPS, even noticed it uses more RAM.

Lost my audio after an update, I'm rocking an Creative X-Fi Titanium HD, and after an update windows refused to detect any audio out except spdif, reinstalling the latest drivers solved that issue thank God they still making drivers for 9 year old sound card.

Every update makes me wanna switch to Linux more. All these attempts to automate everything is exactly what causes so many issues. Can't wait to have my drive and services bogged down by more shit I'll never use. I hope protons still getting serious work done to it, if all my games worked just as good or better than windows I'd switch now.

So we got even more crap ware now, this is still a big step backwards from Windows 7, all of this apps bull s*** that nobody really wants, all Needs....
There should be a version of Windows 10 which doesn't have all this crap ware on it, and the tiled interface still completely sucks...

I just updated to 1903 along with doing my annual re-image on my computer. I definitely like the new Settings layout. Also going through your optimization guide for it to see if I can get the most out of the system.

the win + v came with 1809 already if i'm not mistaken, tho this could have been limited to images only at he time.
