man, this song has kept me alive, im the eldest of 7 siblings, ive lived on the edge for so long now, the only thing that keeps me going is the feeling my siblings would feel if i left and they had to listen to this and feel the way i feel now.

A close of friend of mine passed away recently. He was violently murdered. The last video of him uploaded was him singing this song. At the vigil, I sang this song for him. It was the most beautiful moment in my life so far, and I will never hear this song the same again.
It's crazy how a song can have one meaning when it doesn't mean much to you, then suddenly have ALL the meaning in the world.
I am forever changed.

I've known this song for years!!! Since I was too young to understand the depths of emotions that are expressed in this song. First time hearing the live acoustic version and I must say, I'm in LOVE with the singer! He put so much feeling into the lyrics and melody that I felt like I was literally in his soul, feeling every bit of pain he feels. Crazy.

Would like to thank the fray for this song. This song is such a good song for me as it reminds me of a person who i not only call my Dad but also my best friend. He committed suicide 5yrs ago and the words in this song are so true.
