Sophie, a quiet girl working in a hat shop, finds her life thrown into turmoil when she is literally swept off her feet by a handsome but mysterious wizard named Howl. The vain and vengeful Witch of the Waste, jealous of their friendship, puts a curse on Sophie and turns her into a 90-year-old woman. On a quest to break the spell, Sophie climbs aboard Howl’s magnificent moving castle and into a new life of wonder and adventure. But as the true power of Howl’s wizardry is revealed, Sophie finds herself fighting to protect them both from a dangerous war of sorcery that threatens their world. Featuring the voice talents of Lauren Bacall, Christian Bale, Billy Crystal, Blythe Danner, Emily Mortimer, and Jean Simmons.

NO WAAAY! I can't believe this movie is 20 years old!?!?!?!?! The very first thing I saw of this movie was a review in a newspaper clipping, and my brother cut it out and put it on his closet door cuz he thought the cover, with Howl and Sohpie, was cool!! We knew nothing about it then! omggg!!! I'm DEFINITELY gonna see this in theaters if i can!!!!

I can’t believe it’s been 20 years. I remember being in high school and seeing this film with my friends. This was the film that got me into the magic and wonder of Studio Ghibli films. And now, I’m going to the 20th anniversary showing with some of my family who’s interested in seeing this film after I told them the absolute beauty behind it. Howls Moving Castle will always be my favorite Studio Ghibli film ❤❤

When I was 10 years old I went to the library to take out a movie, that is where I found Howls Moving Castle and instantly fell in love with the movie. It became a movie I watched 2 more times before returning it, just to take it out again a few more times when they had it on the shelf. I never cared to watch a movie more than once, but this instantly became an exception. I'm now 30 and this movie is still my favorite of all time and even got Calcifer tattooed on my arm, its such a warm, comforting, beautiful movie that I related to so much with Sophie.
