I love learning about the Victorian era, and while my obsession is with Clothing styles, especially undergarments like Corsets, I find all aspects of life, like this, this very interesting.

I’d hit at the wrong moment, screwing up the rhythm and getting my hand crushed by a flaming hot hammer, lol

I was drawing and scrolled through. Forgot to pay attention and have been listening to this for 10 minutes now. Very relaxing.

The metal being hammered sounds like a mechanical crossing bell!

My brother does a lot of smithing and he doesn't wear hearing protection.
He needed hearing aids by 50. I'm almost 70 and I don't need them.

I do hope you arr using Oil instead of water to quench the metal. I know it sounds quite odd to those who don't know, but when you quench metal in water, it actually cools it down too fast, which can cause structural instability and cracking. Oil on the other hand, cools it down slower, preventing this from occuring. Have a great day!

Wrap a chain around the anvil. Speaker magnet helps too.
