Shot Show 2025: all eyes on the CRKT Provoke X Axe 👀 part of the Provoke family, this designer took Joe Caswell 3 years and 90+ prototypes to perfect. It has the CRKT Deadbolt locking system and a safety mechanism that engages once the axe closes. Apparently it’s pretty damn tough too (it endured tough use and testing). Coming later this year. I… need it.

This gives close quarters “get off me” tactical vibes vs survival/outdoors vibes. I like it for that role.

Some little tips and info (based on experience)
A) the simpler it is the better it's gonna do/work/function.
B) do not give moving parts to something that's meant to strike other things, you are gonna damage said parts, dull the blade(if it has one) and accidentally hurt ys.
C) if you are making something that requires a good grip, don't give 'em a .5 or 1 cm thick handle, that will be painful at the moment of impact.
D) I hope nothing mechanical is made of aluminium. For the love of god, use soft metals for decoration, unless it's the core material of this... thing.
