i am so sad, she was a legendary musician with a beautiful voice. i noticed she was battling cancer for years and years on and off but hoped she would eventually beat it. RIP.

I didn't even listen to her music, but this has got me so torn up. I respected the hell out of her fight against the establishment and hypocrisy of the entertainment industry. I saw that fateful performance on SNL when it happened, and I never forgot that brazen bravery as a little girl. Rest in power, Sinéad ✊
