I think this series is really good at teaching you how to outplay your opponent positionally because you're down a queen you have to maneuver your whole army. Hikaru is still making trades too but only the ones he has to make and he knows when to take free pieces. I think it's good for learning how to approach your opponent in middle games and endgames.

Looked up the profile for fun, definitely seems like the guy Hikaru lost to is stronger than 1600. Hasn't played any games since the Hikaru match so seems like a nerf and blitz rating over 2k

The guy who won was definitely a smurf. Very few games, got to 2000 in Blitz, and stopped playing on that account after this win.
