but society doesn't like unique people

i realized some time ago that the huge, round, green doe eyes and sharp nose i always wanted simply would not ever fit my face. despite being mixed race (indigenous and european, like most latines), my features (besides my skintone and hair texture) are still indigenous and my sharp, narrow, dark eyes (which my mother also has) and my round nose are a part of my heritage.

I am going to concentrate on accepting myself as I am. It's just healthier.💜

Sometime I watch these and feel grateful to the almighty for whatever I have.

A friend of mine had a nose job and she looked like a completely different person. Before she was gorgeous. After she was bland. She lost what made her magnetic and unique. It's not something that we say, it's absolutely true

I like pretty much all qoves videos but I appreciate this especially because it’s talking about my personal insecurity and also has a kinder tone overall. People keep telling me my nose is too flat and ought to be higher but I know the issue is the width. Not sure if there is any plastic surgery for that, either way I think it’s better for me to just appreciate what I got.

I have an ethnic nose and I used to hate it. But now I see that it perfectly fits my strong jawline and high cheekbooks. A small dainty nose would never look good on me

I’m one of those people that has that weird bump on their nose instead of it being flat and smooth. It’s always bothered the shit out of me but i now see that it makes me look more unique and its kinda cute tbh

I wanted a rhinoplasty for the longest time to make my nose bridge higher, but recently, after seeing myself with a filter for that, i looked so bad and the nose was just so weird with the rest of my face now i'm glad i have my nose that fits my face just fine.

YUP! I have a wide nose and most people either don‘t notice or just don‘t care because it fits my facial features perfectly. I had people asking me or telling me to model and compliment me a lot so for everyone w a wide nose you‘re gorgeous!!!

In short, having facial harmony is more important for attractiveness than having whatever feature you think is "perfect"

Beauty is not just one set single look, like art, there’s many beautiful paintings, but all are completely different and unique ❤️

I've made peace more or less with the fact that I have a homely face. Objectively speaking. It hasn't wrecked my life.

You are right, there is no one size fits all nose shape

As a dude I definitely got the easier side of this since generally big noses are seen as more masculine. I've definitely been guilty of wishing to change my features though.

As someone who was SO insecure about my nose, Getting of social media made mr realize only these standards mostly exist on social and mass media. In the real world, no one cares. And trends change all the time in different parts of the world.

Idk why people fall victim to the insecurities social media gives them💀💀imagine letting technology make you feel bad about yourself lol I would never get plastic surgery unless it was necessary after a tragic event like a car crash or fire or something... even though my nose is not like the ones people are obsessed with I would never change it because it's my dad's exact nose. Literally a whole bloodline is shown through my face and it's beautiful 😊not even just face but body too. You can see past generations all over my body and that's honestly the work of almighty God

the woman in the beginning of the video is beautiful. it’s so depressing to watch the detrimental impact of the crushing pressure put on women almost from birth to fit into the narrow definition of “beauty”. i went through puberty and was a teen in the 2000s. i remember eds and starving yourself were so normalized it took me years to realize i had one. it was bad, but not like it is today where children getting plastic surgery has been normalized and everyone has the same face.

“…the gradual emergence, among professionally beautiful women, of a single, cyborgian face. It’s a young face, of course, with poreless skin and plump, high cheekbones. It has catlike eyes and long, cartoonish lashes; it has a small, neat nose and full, lush lips. It looks at you coyly but blankly, as if its owner has taken half a Klonopin and is considering asking you for a private-jet ride to Coachella.

The face is distinctly white but ambiguously ethnic—it suggests a National Geographic composite illustrating what Americans will look like in 2050, if every American of the future were to be a direct descendant of Kim Kardashian West, Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, and Kendall Jenner (who looks exactly like Emily Ratajkowski). “It’s like a sexy . . . baby . . . tiger, ” Cara Craig, a high-end New York colorist, observed to me recently. The celebrity makeup artist Colby Smith told me, “It’s Instagram Face, duh. It’s like an unrealistic sculpture. Volume on volume. A face that looks like it’s made out of clay.”
