Ace channel.
Spent a few weeks working in the roof of the church as apprentice joiner, installed new catwalk and the round windows either end and a proper access ladder to the loft. Very cool place to be, the memorys, views, storys, will never leave me. My favourite was looking down through the cracks into the church and realising how very high i was, on a very old walkway missing many bits. Just writing this has brought memories flooding back. I don’t know where the nose rubbing thing came from. Even just 8 years ago the statue’s nose was still black, and was like that the whole time I knew it before just a few years ago. It’s a shame it’s slowly destroying the statue.
