Kristina! You inspired me to start Nanowrimo waaay back in 2011. I've done it a few times since then and will do it again this year! Also, I am a teacher and have been given a green light to run the young writers program next year, so there will literally be dozens of people doing nanowrimo because of you, thank you so much xx

Kristina, I just have to say: thank you SO MUCH for these videos. Every year after my first time doing NaNo in 2012, I always get to October thinking "ehh, probably not this year. I just don't think I can make it work!" and then you release your NaNo pep-talk and EVERY. YEAR. it makes me go "OF COURSE I HAVE TO DO NANOWRIMO!!!!" So thank you very much for the annual kick in the pants.

I'm in college, so falltime is really busy for me-- but last year I managed to complete NaNo for the first time in four years because I gave myself permission to be a pirate, or to "break the rules" or whatever. Mainly just by working on different projects and just worrying about getting to the bottom line of 1, 667 words a day. And I'm really glad I did, because I think the momentum of that last fall has really carried over into the rest of the year, and I've been writing more in all sorts of different places ever since last November! I'll be doing the same thing this year. (Also @Kristina, you were the reason I FIRST tried and completed NaNo back in my first year of high school! I've since won it four times. Isn't that crazy!)

I am a short story writer who for the longest time wanted to write a novel length story. NaNoWriMo helped me to do this, it gave me the motivation to do it. I wrote 50, 055 words in my first nano. That story is now complete at 64, 000 words. I will be taking part again this year as I so want to write another lengthy story.

This will be my ninth year! If I remember right, I actually found your channel because of your NaNoWriMo song (which I still love and listen to). I'm being a little bit of a rebel this year, in that I'll be writing the second draft of my 2008 NaNo novel. I'll be writing it over from word one, as it was the first novel I ever finished on my own, and it's such a giant disaster that the best course of action is to just start it over.
