Minecraft should have a bad luck effect that increases chances of something bad happening, like getting struck lightning, or more mobs spawn than usual, or ur durability sucks for the time on tools or armor. (Obviously not to this level though)

OR if bad luck could go with bad omen (pillager stuff basically) more pillager patrols, more enchanted gear on pillagers, less drops from them, more spawning around towers or in raids, etc.

Fun Fact, During a thunderstorm
Mobs that has a variation that can be accesed through lightning has a higher chance of being struck by lightning, thats why I always use a lightning rod near my villager prisons.

Learned about this the hard way. Built a big floating island on a realm and had a water stream to access it, on top would be a trading hall. Getting the villager from the breeding center to that island was one of the biggest pains I've ever had to do in this game and within a day it turned into a witch. I stopped playing on the realm shortly after lol. All future halls of mine have about a dozen lightning rods surrounding it
