i9 Voice Changer is an inexpensive option with a lot of uses at around $25. In this video we show how to connect to your gaming console / gaming system. I connect the i9 to a PS4 in this example.

MY REVIEW AND INSIGHTS:
This voice changer actually works fairly well. And should be a core go-to for inexpensive voice changing capabilities for costume integration, gaming, etc.

They designed it to integrate with various devices, including your phone, Xbox, PlayStation etc.

It’s Far superior to the Halloween store voice changers. Any of those I’ve tried had limited features, and were mostly indecipherable.

HOW TO CONNECT DEVICES:

- TO OUTPUT TO A PHONE OR GAME SYSTEM:
— FOR A 3.5MM HEADSET (headphones + mic combo) - plug into the “Headset” port on bottom; & plug your Phone, game console, or other 2 way devices into “Live1” or “Live2” ports on top using the i9 provided TRRS 3.5mm cable.
- note for iPhones/iPads - you’ll need an iPhone to 3.5mm female converter to connect to your 3.5mm TRRS line that goes into the “Live” port.

- TO OUTPUT TO AN AMPLIFIER/SPEAKER: A dedicated Mic goes in the mic port on top & an amplified speaker goes into “headset” port on bottom. For the speaker you must use a TRRS cable - those are the types if cables that came with the i9 (3 black lines on the 3.5 mm tip).

This short prompted a silly question in my mind: my gaming headphones are also split into mic and audio jacks, do you think connecting the pink to the "MIC" port and the green to the "Headset Jack" one could also work? If so, are there benefits to using a combiner cable?

When I use it on my PlayStation it works fine, but when they're someone in my party they hear themselves back through my end when they talk. Does that happen to you or anyway to fix?
