In this video I demonstrate rug hooking with a wool that I have previously tie dyed. How does such a busy piece of wool hook? Where would I where would I use something like this for rug hooking? we also show t-shirt fabric strips being used for rug making.

I really love the way the Tie Dye hooked up! It is colorful and visually active, without being overwhelming. Because of the blending of the colors and repeating colors, the background becomes a solid field of pattern. So nice! :-)

I actually hook with T-shirts all the time. They are cheap and look beautiful in wall hangings! As a quilter, I don’t want to invest a lot of money into wool. The colour varieties in T-shirts work great in landscapes.
