One tip that beginner YouTube producers miss - keep the presenters waving hands out of shot! No good having perfect lighting, sound and content if the presenter is like a traffic controller with arms and hands flaying about. Simple to do. Just tighten the shot in editing.  
Too much presenter is not good either, a little presenter goes a long way, viewers are after content not arm waving presenters.  
Lastly, many return visitors skip the opening sequences as they get boring. Most viewers also skip end sequences too so why waste time on them.
YouTubers need a big audience to customise the thumb nail, 1000 followers + 4000 views so many beginners attempt to build in the thumbnail. Hard to do!
