To be fair, I've been to many in person SJC/YCS events that had multiple hour delays. One rivaled this one when way more people attended than were expected. The TO had to scramble to book and setup multiple extra ballrooms and convention rooms at the venue to hold us all.

This lead to one of the most memorable event announcements ever "players in this room will be disqualified if you look up". At that point everyone looked up and saw the whole ceiling was mirrors.
