Learn how to create natural dye with this easy kitchen scrap dye. Using only the leafy greens from carrots, I show you how I dye wool a vibrant yellow, then shift that yellow to green with a dash of iron.

Come say hi and see what I'm dyeing/knitting:

I was excited about the SNACCCKS on your counter, but then finding out you have them for family DND night is so freaking wholesome. I'm gonna snack on some chips to celebrate.

Thank you for sharing this. You make me want to grow lots of vegetables this summer just for dyeing fibre! 😀
Can’t wait to see what you choose to dye next.

I am glad that YouTube recommanded your channel, this is a great video, I was thinking maybe befor dying the skeins, we could put the herbs in a cheese cloth or any thin fabric you have around before putting them to simmer, what are your thoughts?

First of all, very nice work. Nice colours and good explanation.
Can you dry the carrot tops for later use? I need to dye some square meters of linen, so I need a lot of carrot tops. As this would be my first dyeing project is it similar to your wool project or do I need some more preparation (sourcing).. how much carrot tops would you use for 400 grams of linen.
Thx in advance and keep up the good work.

Have you ever tried dyeing with mowed grass ? Thank you for this very nice video! And when you say "iron" what the chemical composition or scientific name, so I can find the exact product in my country, plz :)

How do you separate the carrot bits from the yarn? It looks so impossibly entangled! What's the trick to getting them all out?

just adoreble! Thanks for sharing this! I really like both of the colours and am going to try this, too! It kind of botheres me somehow, when I just throw away the green tops of the Carrot, without knowing what I can do with them.
p.s. it looks like cooking noodles with Pesto.LoL I guess I will make Pesto Pasta for dinner😁
