One thing that is missing and needed is CA/Purple fringing control in the optics tab.

Thanks for this video Jim. A good edit and it transforms the image. I did like the touch of Golden hour at the end for that warm glow feeling. I always use camera raw profiles first as not keen on the Adobe profiles for the Canon CR3 files.

Very nicely done. I agree … master Curves and you got virtually everything in the photo editing bag. A question: is the persistent brightness haloing around the palm trees an artifact (seen on my iPhone 12Pro screen), or something else?

Skylar Ewing used a technique i assume on properly exposed images. she uses a standard s curve seperately on each r g b channel, making them all overlay each other. What do you think

Hi Jim, Greatly enjoy your tutorials. I am using Neo as a plug in to Lightroom. When I export an image from LR to Neo, is that still a raw file? Tim

Hey Jim. Love your videos. But I can't seem to find a video on how to use Neo if you are a first time user. I want to purchase the program. Thanks.

Jim, a very enjoyable video and instructive, as well. I'm also waiting for J Key and Histogram and hope that REAL layers will be coming at some point. HOWEVER, I note that (even though you're not using Sky Replace, etc.), in the developed image there is a faint bright halo effect around the palm fronds that wasn't there on the initial image. ??Your comments??

I found that the only way for Luminar NEO to see my RAW images as RAW is to load them from the Luminar NEO catalog. Launching the Luminar NEO filter on my RAW images from either Lightroom or Photoshop doesn't seem to work.

Another awesome video, but I do not have all these camera settings in the develop raw. Anthony Turnham also talks about them, but how do I get them? do I need to download them somehow?

Thank you Jim for the tutorial. Indeed starting with the develop tool makes the difference in Neo. Perhaps you could cover a tutorial on the Camera Profile in the Develop section. Like how to get different camera profiles or even how to load custom profile. Thank you.

Hi Jim, I have placed your Neo videos in a playlist to watch them in date order, and then use them as a reference when using the software. If Luminar Neo is at 1.0.4 please advice which is the first video that includes this update.
As always I look forward to your reply. Thanks and Regards JB

As usual, another awesome image post-processing tutorial. For me, Luminar Neo is a plugins, a very powerful one that I use on almost all my edits (Except for panoramas because of Neo restriction on image width). As a result, I lose two things: camera profile (which my camera system is not supported by Skylum anyways) and the kelvin granularity for white balance (which I set in my main program). I didn't find the optics correction that great either. Nonetheless, I concur that all other development tools you demonstrated are awesome (despite I lose the AI piece). Thank you so much for sharing.

Jim, another fantastic video as usual! I wanted to ask a question off-topic (and forgive me if you have covered this in a video that I've missed). In "Sky AI" - Is it possible to add your own skies from photos?
P.S. My wife and I are going to see Spyro Gyro at the Paramount next week - and I'm hoping to do some Cityscapes while in Austin. Now that we live near Marble Falls, Austin is "the Big City" and we don't get back that often. Thank you for all you do!

Thank you for this informative video. I create images with software and wondered if .png or .tiff files are treated as raw files when using the develop tool in Luminar Neo.
