Day 18 of insulating the attic | Button Homestead

Day 18 of insulating the attic! It’s good to get back into it. We were able to tackle a tricky section today around the wiring for the ceiling lights. We needed to make a bit of a cut out to accommodate the wiring along the side of the rafter bay. It worked pretty well. We only have a few more sections left on this side of the attic. We are leaving the section with the venting open for now to tackle at a later date.

Alex and I have noticed a big different with the upper portion of the attic being insulated. I’m excited to get the rest finished up and to start on the ceiling section.

Yeah if it ever gets cold in your area - that air gap is going to become soaked in condensation - it's basic science. Hope you live in the bahamas or it's going to start smelling like mold in a few weeks- will need to rip it all out, then do mold remediation. It's going to stink in there FAST.
