Reducing Sensory Problems in Children with Autism
Показать описание
Dr. Mary Barbera discusses reducing problem behaviors, specifically reducing sensory problems in children with autism.
In today’s video blog I’m giving tips for sensory issues. Kids with autism and sensory issues can go hand in hand often, especially if your child or client is sensitive to certain stimuli. These strategies should help you reduce sensory issues, and help you perform a sensory evaluation to better understand your child or client. It’s important to note though that autism sensory problems aren’t very different from sensory issues that we could be having ourselves. We all can be overreactive to sensory, and treating sensory issues in children with autism won’t be much different than when we’re trying to deal with our own sensory issues.
