Factions are good as long as they are done well and given the time for the fans to invest into them, and factions help wrestlers grow, The Booking Is another big thing as well

I agree with Pete in having plenty of factions, because it does keep people relevant (especially if injured). But what it also does for those not in factions, is help to make them be the “lone warrior” type thing. Sting (early Crow) and DDP were awesome in WCW, Steve Austin before WM X-7, because they didn’t want to join with anyone, and personally, think it put them over bigger with crowds. So it can work in multiple ways.

A faction is just a bunch of people aligned together, each with their own goals, a stable is a group that has an obvious leader who is taking the group in a singular direction. New Day is a faction, The Four Horsemen was a stable.

I disagree with the fact that "there's too much factions" and that "everyone is in a faction". Drew, KO, Gargano, Kross, Theory, Lashley, Rollins, Riddle, Mysterio are examples of wrestlers that are up on the card and not in a faction. Like Pete said, it's more an issue about the booking of those factions and having too many interferences in matches.

I'd be all in for a Bronson Reed return to WWE.

I like how the the factions in WWE feels unique from each other and have a character . Bloodline are a Samoan family that’s a top factions in company and ruling the world, Judgment Day are a dark broody factions meant to manipulate people in joining, Imperium are a classy foreign faction that wants to take over and bring wrestling back to the old school days, Brawling Brutes are just a couple of uk guys that just loves to fight, Hit Row are a rap group, and Legado Del Fantasma are a Latino cartel like stable

Stables/factions are more realistic. People are always going to form groups based on similar interests. But there are always going to be individuals who will be individual and some who will be tweeners…so if you have good mix of all makes more stuff to connect with..

I think factions are good because they kind of protect stars. Many combinations of matches between members. Their respective leaders can do a match with their partners and not work to hard and possibly get injured before their 1 on 1 blowout match. And as Pete said. They get more exposure, tv time and time to get over.

Edit: also they can see what works. Who is getting more reactions and they can make more stars for the future.

I disagree that stables and factions are the same.

I always saw a stable something like the Bobby Heenan Family, a stable of wrestlers under one manager but only had minimal interactions with each other (if any) where as a faction is the more traditional group that are more linked together.

I've always understood Stables to be a group of wrestlers who are all managed by the same manager. The Heenan Family was a stable. A faction can have a manager, but they all work together. A stable does not have to be booked to work together. I'm pretty sure the term Stable got it's origins from Sumo Wrestling.

Bronson would be awesome to add back. He's one of the talents I thought AEW actually missed out on because he's not as big of a name as others. His talent in ring is incredible and he reminds me so much of young Samoa Joe. I think he can be a big star anywhere he goes

I've always been of the impression that the difference between a faction and a stable is... A faction is like a team where a stable is like a collection of individual entities/teams. Like, The Undisputed Elite was stable trying to be a faction. The Judgement Day is a faction. The Pinnacle is a stable.

I really love that we're getting some factions in WWE as of late. Especially if they're booked well and it's a good thing to give more people TV time. And it makes the whole thing feeling a bit more alive behind the scenes when people have relationships and alliances.

Also I like the possibility so build a feud without having the match on TV every week and then at the PPV you have the same match again. Have a faction member fight the guy before he gets to the head honcho. I really like factions but they have to be booked well.

Factions can also lead to a great Survivor Series!

factions allow more wrestlers to be used in a story, so you have fewer people sitting around doing nothing. The more factions the better (if they're booked right)

Pete: "...they still have the chance to be featured on screen.."
Right on Pete, like I always wonder where Shawn Spears is now.

I just had a thought. If the Wyatt 6 is a faction and it's 6 people plus Wyatt you could do a deadly sin thing

Pride - Bray, leader and this is usually the biggest sin (and the pride of sin is when it's hubris)
Greed - JBL. He is Kayfabe Wyatt's second cousin (as he is the kayfabe cousin of Barry Windham) and this is why he took over
Gluttony - Corbin. Gluttony doesn't necessarily mean food but this does replicate the wanting the finer things that Happy Corbin was doing
Lust - Liv Morgan if they go in that direction, lust is always a tricky one as you either have to go the creepy man route or with the 'succubus' and neither are that great
Wrath - Eric Rowan
Envy - Bo Dallas forever in the shadow of his brother
Sloth - This one is tough. Wendy Chu funnily enough represents sloth but I don't think it translates. It would be a weird mash of her 2 disparate gimmick

Maybe this is a bit silly

It's possible HHH is getting a large group of factions set so that they can follow suit as other companies and introduce Trios championships.

Clearly WWE needs trios title to handles these factions

I would actually say there is a nuance between factions and stables. Stables, in my opinion, are manager focused (Heenan family or dungeon of doom) where factions are wrestler focused (DX or NWO)
