I didn't know they'd made a syringe filler!
Thanks for sharing - always fun to see unusual filling systems :)

This was informative and interesting. Thank you for sharing this. Each filling system has its perk, advantage, and disadvantage. Filling systems are wonderful things to explore.

I have a mid 90s Visconti Manhattan that has the second generation power vac filling system. I don't use the pen often, but I love the look.

Thanks for this survey. Enjoyable as always. I *think* the Divina has yet another system: the “pull and turn.” It’s not my favorite, both because it’s not intuitive (at least not to me) and because ink volume is so limited. But the pen itself is gorgeous.

I have a Visconti Homo Sapien which I purchased about four years ago. I think it is a beautiful pen and I like the nib I chose, however, if I had known that I would not be able to fill it with any more than a minuscule amount of ink, I would not have purchased it no matter how beautiful it looked nor how well it wrote. I have looked for every possible episode of YouTube advice I could find, and the reason I watched this episode, as to how to increase the amount of ink in each fill and none has given me more than two notebook pages of writing before it runs dry. No company should sell such an expensive item that is so deficient in one of its most important features and I would advise anyone against buying a Visconti Homo Sapien, because you are really only purchasing the equivalent of a dip pen and along with that an extraordinary amount of frustration.

I have the Visconti Divina Midi Metropolitan in grey stacked celluloid which is one of, if not the most, beautiful pens in my collection but I can’t stand the filling system. It’s a captured converter which are the absolute worst. They combine the worst aspects of piston fill and cartridge converter systems. Tiny ink capacity and impossible to clean and maintain. I’d take literally any other filling system.
