Dozens of veterans have been living on the land since last summer. However, ADOT officials say they have to go because the land is state-owned.

As a veteran I'm appalled. I'm wondering if this is the veterans camp I in South Tucson that I just watched last night. PBS did a segment on it. Watching it I felt so up lifted! I realize it was a few years ago but still. Its no way to treat veterans. Veterans who served go through so much to serve our country.

ADOT managers: What have you done to ensure the safety of American citizens?

Nothing?

So why don't you like people who have?

Is this our land, or is their land (who or what is adot) who are these homeless veterans hurting, my God it looks like wide open expanse, it looks like nothing but desert, Jesus Christ leave them alone and help them when you can.

There is No excuse, , , these people could be given those tiny houses and they could make it into a little tiny landscaped neighborhood for them.... It makes no sense, , there must be some form of discrimination going on in the US military, , , how come some military families get to live in a big fancy beach home, , while some vets are homeless??

Veterans or not get a fricken job. I got an apartment making 8 bucks an hour bought a vehicle and kept climbing the ladder to a point where you can breathe. I'm sick of veteran being an excuse. Veterans are not some kind of victim class. If anything you should be able function even better under life stress. This generation of people these days is the generation that doesn't try hard enough.
