It's kind of hard to believe that Aptera could be three tiers below a company that's already failed.

1. Aptera is a niche product, but has a dedicated fanbase (C tier).
2. Canoo is on the verge of bankruptcy (E tier).
3. Faraday Future FF 91 is total vaporware (F tier).

Ouch! You did us dirty by putting us below Faraday future and Canoo, both of which are 99.99 percent going to fail and below Fisker which has 100 percent already failed. I mean yes it's an uphill battle for Aptera but i definitely give them better odds than a company that has already failed and two companies that are going to fail.

I think Aptera will make it, at least in a niche. There are a lot of us passionate eco types that want it to succeed. I love the idea of never needing to plug in and driving on sun light for free. It’s the most differentiated car in the list and deserves more attention.

Here's why Aptera has fans - none of the other ones you mention matter. If they succeed or fail, ok, there's on more EV out there. Looks slightly different, slightly different specs, but whatever. They're just another EV. Aptera is FREE ENERGY. As a second car, if they can really get it down to 30ish k, there are a lot of people that makes a lot of sense for. I'll keep my Jeep for trips and adventure, and drive an aptera for free for 90% of my miles. No other company has a justification for existence like that.

Hi, I'm one of those vocal Aptera fans you mentioned. Just because a lot of Americans buy giant inefficient vehicles doesn't mean there aren't a lot of Americans who would gladly buy an efficient vehicle that doesn't require gigantic battery packs. Personally, I think it's brilliant.

Aptera‘s focus on efficiency with a safety first mindset is no gimmick. Its looks might not be for everyone but the economics are. I would be an investor if my wallet came out to play…

Fully spec’d out you get AWD, a monocoque cockpit, and 1000 miles of range… all under $70k. And this is just their FIRST DESIGN! Imagine if they offered an SUV/Crossover. They’d more than likely reach 600 miles of range while still falling below $100k.

Compared to the Rivian R1S at 410 miles and $91k, and the Lucid Gravity at 450 miles and $98k, no other company is offering such huge range per dollar.

In China, we have a catogery called EV statups. In 2024，Top 10 list is:
1. Li Auto had sales of 500k units,
2. Seres Auto had sales of 420k units,
3. Aion had sales of 370k units.
4. Leapmotor had sales of 290k units.
5. Zeekr had sales of 220k units.
6. NIO had sales of 220, kunits.
7. Xpeng had sales of 190k untis.
8. Xiaomi had sales of 130k units.
9. Voyah had sales of 85.7k units.
10. Arcfox had sales of 81k units.

Few points on Aptera. It's the equivalent size of a Camry, so its actually larger than you think. Also wrt safety its fully enclosed in a carbon fiber tub so it'll be just as safe as a car rather than a motorcycle. I think if they can hit the price point they'll succeed. The functionality is the type of car that appeals to a lot of people - cheap, futuristic, easy to charge, long range.
