I try to watch to watch it every year. One of the best shows ever! it had it all... drama, action, comedy.. Baltar is one of my favorite Characters.

BSG indeed was one of the best science fiction. also its soundtrack

They incorporated the sci-fi in the characters more so than the story. The ending had me crying.

Frakking amazing show! The whole thing is streaming on Amazon Prime right now. Go and watch immediately! Even if you don't think you like sci-fi, give this one a look. You will be rewarded.

I mean, I have not yet watched The Expanse, but barring that surprising me I would say BSG is definitely the best sci-fit television series ever made, and it is one of those shows which sadly never penetrated the mass market. That was a combo of bad timing (mid-2000s during the reality TV boom, before Breaking Bad and Mad Men made dramas popular, again), wrong network (scifi channel did not have the profile that it has now, and was more of a weird little network that was trying to find its way), and wrong content for it's time (pre-Broken Bad, I am not sure audiences only 2 years removed from 9/11 wanted to watch an existential horror/Bleak Sci-Fi show about mankind trying desperately to survive against a powerful synthetic species that it created and which now seeks its extinction).

If you liked Battlestar, watch Stargate SG-1. It's a fantastic 10 season sci-fi epic that kept me going all the way to the end. Highly recommended

I just hate shaky cam so much in that series. drives me crazy. not quite sure yet if i like or dislike the show.

Warning: while the start is quite epic, the show becomes damn near unwatchable after it's 25. episode: Resurrection Ship part II, don't watch the 50 episodes that follow after this. I've found only 1 or 2 good episodes after that. The rly murdered the series.
