6 years later this video is still helping people like me. Thanks so much man, the nut on my tie rod end was stripped I had a smaller socket beat on it and things were getting down to the nitty gritty. This trick worked like a charm.

Going through pages and pages of service manuals and old forums all day and you just showed exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!

Thank you! I’m doing my lower ball joints and could not get my tie rod end off until I found your video. You definitely saved me from throwing my tools across the garage in a fit of rage haha.

I've just tried this on my car and worked like an absolute charm! I normally just end up buying new ones but this is absolutely brilliant; thanks for sharing this!

Wow, what a great tip! I let the bolt sit with wd40 for half an hour and it did nothing, cameback with your tip and not even 2 minutes later it was out! Thanks for sharing!

You are a lifesaver. I was getting frustrated and half thinking I was cross threading. This trick helped me get the nut on and pushing down on the torque wrench I was able to achieve 30 ft lbs of torque.

After fighting with the knuckle and finding a used one e4tc.. etc... I found that my tie rod end is spinning with the nut.

THANK YOU, what a genius hack.

Worked on the first try. Super quick and did not have to change tie rod. Thanks!

Oh I thought this was the video where you changed your rotors...

Awesome tip tho my tie rod wouldn't tighten either, your trick saved me cutting the old one off, buying a new one. Thanks bro

Very nice. Almost worked for me. I had to use the original nut to lock the tie rod in place, the nylon lock nut provided with the new part still made it spin. Once i locked it in place with the original nut I was able to get the new nut on.

This trick saved my ass! Thanks for the tip! Read a lot of blogs where dudes sawed off the nut because they thought they broke it. I was about to do it!!

Bro, I was to the point of cutting a line in the bottom of the bolt to hold it with a flat head. This just saved me so much effort and possibly ruining my tie rod.

I’ve done this by just using a floor jack underneath if I’m replacing
