Children in tears as Gaza refugee camp hit by apparent Israeli airstrike

An apparent Israeli airstrike hit northern Gaza’s Jabalya refugee camp on December 3, leaving Palestinian children searching for their father, believed to be under the rubble. This comes after the Israel Defense Forces struck the same camp with another apparent airstrike the day before, where dozens were feared dead.

These are not children just in tears, but kids traumatized for life.

You know, when I was a little kid I would have repetitive nightmares about my parents both dying and being left in this huge world with nobody but strangers- people I’d been taught to never talk to. Those nightmares were so real to me that I would wake up sweating, shaking and wet from losing control of my bladder in my sleep. I would scream and my parents would come to me and comfort me.

These kids aren’t having my nightmare. These kids are living my nightmare! Only for these little ones it’s so much worse because their parents can’t scoop them up, reassure them, stroke their sweaty hair away and kiss their forehead!
