Pelosi: Democrats Did Not Win Every Battle in House, But We Won the War'

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Friday called Joe Biden "President-elect Biden" and said he "has a strong mandate to lead, and will have a strong Democratic House with him." She added, "This has been a life-or-death fight for the fate of our democracy...We did not win every battle in the House, but we won the war."

She made the remarks during her weekly news conference in the House Visitors Center at the U.S. Capitol on November 6, 2020 in Washington, D.C. The 2020 presidential race between incumbent U.S. President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden is still too close to call with outstanding ballots in a number of states including Georgia.
