Windows Update>Prompt for Restart is one feature I would recommend turning on as well. A lot of users often wonder why their machines are you running slow and ignore the restarts or install updates. Putting machines to sleep and then having all sorts of problems later.

What an excellent video! I had disabled most of these features, but you helped me find even more. I'm a subscriber, Britec, & have a request. The Windows Fall Creators update has significantly lowered my Windows audio, but I have been unable to fix it. Please make a video on this, because I'm not the only one having audio problems since the update. Thank you for your help!

For those using Link Shell Extension, I found that symlinks made with a prior version of Win10 had somehow stopped "linking" after the FCU to 1709. But re-creating the links fixed this.

Great Video Britec, and Great Tips, like always, but sometimes when you type in Command Prompt etc. is better (for some people) to give this commands in the bellow section on the video, because that is not for everybody - it's easy to copy / paste the commands. Cheers. :))

Good video but one caveat is that gpedit (group policy editor) is not available W10 home edition so disabling Cortana is a much more involved process (but still highly recommended be done, unless you like the idea of sending audio streams to Microsoft for [cough] "product improvement" [cough, cough]).

Given the cost of a 15" MacBook Pro I'm seriously considering a Lenovo Yoga 720 15", arguably a better hardware spec than the MBP but not sure about moving to Windows. What are your thoughts Britec09?

FYI: to disable "Xbox Game Monitoring" in Services via the registry, go to:
and right-click "Start" REG_DWORD. Change the value from 3 to 4. That's it! When you open Services.msc again, you'll see that "Xbox Game Monitoring" is disabled.
