For those confused,

The Bandit is just a DMR without a scope. It is a single-shot weapon
The Battle Rifle is a three-shot burst weapon. Always was (except for Halo 2 Beta)

Both of you are wrong about the Bandit.
The Bandit would be a DMR if it had a long range scope. Designated Marksman Rifle must have a scope otherwise it's not a DMR.

M392 is the name of the rifle. DMR, Bandit, EVO are variants.

Removing the scope from the DMR and renaming it the bandit was dumb on 343’s part. They already unnecessarily changed the shotgun into the bulldog
