The following candidates for the 4th Congressional District participated in the October 23 debate: Rep. Steve King, (R-Kiron) and Jim Mowrer, (D-Boone).
Dean Borg, longtime host of Iowa Public Television’s public affairs program Iowa Press, moderated the debate. Reporters Kay Henderson, news director for Radio Iowa; and Kathie Obradovich, political columnist for The Des Moines Register joined Borg at the table. Candidates answered questions from reporters and discussed their platforms, concerns and future plans.
