Bro,
I recently saw a video from your C language practice problem series.
The video was about finding the sum of first n natural numbers.
I understood both concepts you taught.
But i have a question regarding the second concept.
you told that,
sum = 1 + 2 + 3 n___let this be equation(1)
sum = n + (n-1) + (n-2) + (n-3) this be equation(2)
and adding eq 1 and 2 and solving
we get,
sum = [n(n+1)] / 2

Till here I understood everything
And I tried the same concept when the numbers are increasing with the difference of 2
For example:
sum = 1 + 3 + 5 n___let this be equation(1)
sum = n + (n-2) + (n-4) + (n-6) this be equation(2)
and adding eq 1 and 2 and solving
we get the same formula, that is:
sum = [n(n+1)] / 2

But using this formula when the numbers are increasing with the difference of 2 doesn't give the correct answer
so, I wanted to ask
Is this concept only for the case when they are series of natural numbers increasing with the difference of 1??
or does this concept apply to every case and I did some mistake??

and if this actually doesn't work, what is the short way(without using loops) of finding the sum when numbers are increasing with the difference of 2 or 3 or whatever the difference is??
