How Brexit Media Try to Distract from Consequences

Discussing the way in which hard brexit media in Britain is having to tackle the brexit shortages of food, drink and medical supplies. Rather than denying the problem, or ignoring it, because it's too obvious to most people now, they instead try to pretend that the issues are caused by something else. In this video, I break down the way the Daily Mail tackles the shortages to highlight how they attempt to mislead their readers.

For us in the EU Brexit is a fantastic comedy, but it's bad so many people are involved with food shortage.

Germany has a shortage of 50, 000 to 75, 000 HGV drivers. But they also have 730, 000 active domestic drivers. So the shortfall is around 7 to 10%; not 25% like in the UK. They also don't have to wait in queues and can do cabotage. So lorries from the outside can enter freely, do multiple stops and go back home all in one day.

Brexit happens. Food is left to rot in the fields. The border between Ireland and Northern Ireland causes massive problems. There are serious shortages of workers in key sectors due to EU migrants leaving the UK. The consequences of Brexit are so dire for fishing and agriculture that Nigel Farage avoids people associated with that sector like the plague.
