You can use red face cards to track you hp, 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 4 = 20, turn them face down when you take damage and vice versa when heal

This is a really nice game and it even feels like a dungeon crawler. So far I have lost 3 times in a row. After 10 losses I might add one of the red cards that are sorted out of the game. So cool what you can do with a simple deck of cards :-)

Glad I stumbled onto this video, great design. I really like these designs using just a regular deck of cards. I'm working on a design myself that is looking promising, but not polished yet. I will be watching your other videos like this in your playlist for sure. Thanks for sharing these great games!

i haven't quite read the rules yet but when i play i count over-healing as "bravery points", so for example drinking an 8 of hearts while bearing 3 wounds will heal the wounds and additionally add 5 points of bravery to score them at the end of the game

You can take only one potion in every room. Others must be discard.

Oh... later you did explain that rule 👍

Lemons are for puny mortals. I use watermelons 🍉.

You didn't make a mistake with the one remaining card. There are 44 cards in the deck. 4 used for the first room. This leaves 40 cards for 13 more rooms. There will always be 1 left for a potential 14th room. But I'm not sure if you have to beat this last room too.

It reminds me of donsol, but I would say this one it's easier. In donsol you have all the 54 cards including jokers. In donsol the Q it's 13, the K it's 15 and the Ace it's 17. The red face cards and Aces (weapons and potions) value it's 11. The jokers are called Donsols and they're value it's 21 (the maximum life points value) which means that you can't beat a donsol without a new weapon. It's a very amusing game.

Can you skip half a room? For example you already played 1 or 2 cards and decided you want to skip the rest of the room

What do you do if you have more than one weapons in one room? Or if you don’t want to take any of the weapons in a room?

I like this game, but it's difficult. Essentially it has to go perfectly, luck and strategy. I like to call this game Prince of Persia because of how hard it is and the setup reminds me of the original game. Someone on a different thread suggested keeping the 2 jokers in the deck to use as parry attack cards, and this really helps when you don't want to be on such a losing streak. The jokers don't stack on other weapons and don't take damage from defeated monsters.
