Ridge: I'm stroking your head, Brooke, because you're my dog, you've been running after me so many years and you're barking after me.😂

I guess this awkward exposition was the best they could do: 12:43. It's not like they could have Macy _sing_ about how she survived the explosion.

Those two Italian girls had the right reaction to seeing Brooke 14:08

“Wow aren’t you the popular fashion designer.”
Absolutely scintillating dialogue.

Wait..
Brooke's the CEO of Forrester right?
Ridge is the designer of Spectra right?
She's spending more time with the competition than her actual team 😂

The one woman you truly loved, Thorne? Shall we replay the Brooke scenes?
You don’t deserve Macy.

Macy, realizing Thorne can no longer sing, decides to go it alone and perform the duets on her own. 😂

Brooke is now getting outshined by Macy and the town of Portofino. She probably thought she finally had a chance now that Taylor's gone. 😆

"Memories can be like uninvited guests at a party, can't they?" I love the way she called Thorne out while he's sorrowing over Macy. I LOVE SALLY! ❤❤❤😂😂😂

“Even the ice cream guy knows who we are”
Wow, what a snobbish thing to say.

*Macy in Italy vs Taylor in Morocco*
As we will see, Macy's return from the dead is very much a repeat of Taylor's first "back from the dead" storyline, but one where alterations have been made to improve on the original by rearranging and changing the plot elements that didn't quite work the first time. One of these was Taylor staying in Morocco without contacting her father - a plot point which was never given a coherent explanation at the time.

Compared to Taylor first being held captive by Prince Omar in the Moroccan palace, and then persuaded to stay there in order not to disrupt Ridge's life (and in order to care for the -von Trapp- children), Macy's "captivity" is far more subtle and therefore more psychologically believable, as shown in the scene between her and Lorenzo, where she suggests calling her family or returning to LA, and he alternately scares and guiIts her into abandoning the idea (and we get the feeling this is a conversation they have had many times before).

Macy is not actually _physically prevented_ from going back to Los Angeles, but in order to do so she would have to go against her own father whom she owes her life and her sobriety, and abandon him with no hope of ever seeing him again. Adam and Lorenzo have been (and still are) her emotional support system and she feels both indebted to them and dependent on them, and Lorenzo and Adam actively encourage this by treating her like a child and making decisions for her, while reminding her of the grave consequences if she should disobey them. And while this dynamic didn't ring true between Taylor and Omar because they had no prior history, it rings _very true_ between a controIIing, protective father and a "good daughter" who is also a (barely) recovering alcoholic. Macy is emotionally bo u nd to Adam (and, by extension, Lorenzo) and can't leave him, unless he gives her his permission. She trusts her father implicitly, more than she trusts herself.

While for Taylor, the choice as a "good daughter" was obvious (tell Jack she's alive) and we couldn't understand why she refrained from making it, Macy has no obvious "right" choice because being a good daughter to one parent inevitably means breaking the other parent's heart. She can't be in both of their lives, or everyone dies. So she chooses the parent whose infIuence on her is currently the strongest.

Funny that both Brooke and Thorne are in Italy again, .. The place where they allegedly were in the most love (with Thorne even proposing), and neither of them even thinks of each other or their memories there...
Yet another totally contrived relationship...

Lorenzo trying to hide that newspaper from Macy like the way they had to hide People Magazine from KKL.

1:44 Those birds should have gone after Miss Logan like it was a Hitchcock picture. It would have been far more entertaining than watching her swoop in on Ridge 🦅🐦‍⬛

Ridge and Brooke in Portofino are like Thorne and Brooke in Venice. All that's missing is Brooke giving away random flowers and chatting awkwardly with Italian children.
