At my brother's boyscout camp talent show, a kid went on stage and just ate a raw onion. Half the audience cheered for him, the other half were begging him to stop.

funny thing is it's a red onion, which isn't difficult to eat at all, softer than an apple and slightly more flavorful than a salad with bland dressing, it's a decent party trick to just take one out and take a big bite

My 7th grade English teacher had his class read Holes every year and he would give bonus points if you brought in a whole raw onion and ate it in front of him. It was great fun and one girl thought she was smart brining in cocktail onions. He told her she had to eat the whole jar. She couldn’t finish. He also had all his classes work together to dig a hole as big as the book and then plant a tree.

Raw onion isn’t even that bad to begin with! That’s a really cool and convincing fake onion, though.

Recommendation for people, Walla Walla sweet onions. If you can get them they are super sweet and actually really good Raw. Eating like an apple will still be rough but it's probably the best onion to use they are quite large. So try to get a small one.

Hey Scott, I have a question about a prop used in Schitt’s Creek. In Season 1, Episode 11 “Little Sister”, David walks into a classroom and sees an Orrery. He grabs one of the planets and the entire thing disintegrates in one fell swoop. How is something like that rigged to fall apart like that from the slightest touch?
