Cords can be a pain, especially if you're relying on them and they go kaput. Thanks for your review!

My father taught me a coiling technique that works quite well which he used for years as a travelling musician and guitar tech. You basically coil it up as normal, but leave enough left over to wrap the last couple of rounds through the center of the coil in the same way you're taught to make a ring bandage from a bandana to isolate a puncture would with a penetrating object still protruding. It's hard to describe but easy to demonstrate, and works extremely well for USB cables, allowing them to be stacked in a drawer or bad and easily sorted.

I have to say one of the things that instantly annoyed me with them, is their website shakes the add to cart button every 15 seconds, and if you scroll past it, it adds it to the bottom as a bar and continues to shake. That kind of website behaviour really makes me want to close the website and not consider anything they are selling, as it is both highly distracting and very obnoxious. Anyways I just twist tie the cable together where the heads cross, and if I have more than one cable I often twist tie them together as well. This prevents the cable from bending and twisting too much leading to wire breaks.

Hiking and back packing.
I use extremely short cables with universal adapters, to accommodate attaching to other devices, also a battery bank and solar panel.
Granted i am not taking large amounts of equipment. While hiking. I attach my solar panel to my pack, attach the battery that is tucked inside my pack and being charged, while I hike Then reverse and charge my items the same way. My camera and phone are the most used items, that i can charge during the night and when I stop for a break. I have even charged my phone while actually walking also. this method has drastically reduced taking numerous cables and reduced my weight.

I simply coil my small cables, then put rubber bands around the middle of the coils. Works well for me. ✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦✌️

They sell mini cable clamps at home depot that help keep older cables managed. Autozone has little silicone cable wraps that fish onto the cable that have a magnetic clasp that also help this issue.

G'day Mark, oh yeah totally with ya mate, what a pain !!!!. I used to use electrical wire off cuts as twist ties, even had 'em color coded for the various USB types. The problem though is they invariably get lost or put back on the wrong one by other family members.
So what I like here is; no extra "keeper;' required.
A proper loop i.e a figure 8 hank is not good for any cable.
Inherently a high quality cable. Yes a premo price tag, but to rid the frustration, I'm all for it !!!!
I'd still employ some method of identification at a glance, perhaps a paint spot on the connectors or better again, colored heat shrink tubing each end. Not only will it not rub off, but if located over the area where the end of the connector meets the cable you'll get more protection from failure, thats where they usually come a cropper; helps keep moisture out too and can be seen from any angle.
Cheers Duke.

I still have a variety of devices that use both USB-a and USB-c connections, so I had a very similar problem with carrying a variety of cables - until I saw in a Dollar Store a small device that you can plug a USB-c cable into, that now allows it to plug into a device that requires a USB-a connection. I went searching online and found different ones that will now allow me to basically convert USB-anything to USB-anything-else. The devices are small (usually about 1" long), cheap (usually several for a few dollars) and don't have problems with tangling - no wires to tangle! I can carry a complete set in a small zip bag, and instantly tell them apart visually. Now i basically carry one (or at most, two) cables and my small bag of connectors, and I'm good to go!

I like to buy high quality items. They just last longer.
Would you ever consider doing a review of a J. Marttiini, KORPI ANNUAL KNIFE 2024?
