Afterwards, we got an entire episode of Dipper trying to move on from Wendy by flirting with girls his age, and instead of Pacifica, the writers decided to ship him with Candy. I guess it was because they were both geeks, but man was that a let down.

And honestly, this was a healthy relationship for both, for Pacifica to be more her real self and learn about others instead of her arrogant past self. And for Dipper to appreciate more his age with a relationship with someone his age instead of Wendy, cause his crush for Wendy was for Dipper need to mature fast (that was ironically immature)

I when I first watched this episode back in 2015 I thought this was potentially setting up a relationship for them but sadly it never happened. It would have made sense too as it would show that dipper had truly gotten over Wendy and the development of Pacifica as a character.

The creator missed a perfect opportunity for more character development with Pacifica. And on top of that, Dipper could actually have a healthy and logical relationship with someone in his age group. He brought out the best in her, and yes I know Dipper got over his insecurities in previous episodes and became a brave badass but, she could’ve made him be even more determined in some other areas we might’ve never known. Point is..Dipcifica deserved-NO. Had EVERY RIGHT to become canon in the series. And I hope there’s at least a movie where they’re back as teenagers and finally get together.

I think something interesting to point out is that in this show Mable was trying very hard to get a love interest but they were either to creepy or a nonhuman species yet Dipper wasn’t trying at all and after realizing Wendy was to old for him he moved on and got better love interests then Mabel.

Dipper was a good influence on Pacifica, she really turned her life around after that episode

According to Journal 3, Dipper saw a photo of the Lumberjack and discovered that he was a Corduroy. He's Wendy's great great grandfather. That means, Northwest and Corduroy are long-time rivals. Now that Dipper and Wendy are teenagers by the end of series, and Dipcifica is kinda a canon (re: Lost Legends), Alex then again left a cliffhanger for him to play on whether he suddenly decided to have a sequel. Maybe he can treat us with a little love triangle subplot.

I also love the tiny details in the finale when Pacifica gave Dipper the DVD set of Ghost Harassers. It's his favorite show. Remember when Dipper was watching a 48-hour marathon of it and got interrupted to broadcast the Northwest high-class party at their mansion? THE DETAILS MAN!
