Prejudiced lecture without considering present day politics.
Che Guevara was a communist. Fidel Castro was a communist. One of the role models of best economic nations like Singapore is based on communism. It is not against modernization but it is against Imperialism. No communist country can be entirely conserved and confined without making trade with others. Russia, a strongly communist country, has religions with both hindu temples and churches. Unlike Lenin and Stalin's period, people are now free to practice religion. This is present day politics. Similarly, no capitalist country will allow blind and open free trade to allow foreign nations to establish their market and kill domestic industries. It is a balance. In the present scenario, India is choosing to be blind. Our FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) policies are more liberalized which is nothing but a modern day version of imperialism. India had signed WTO agreement to stop ration subsidies for farmers and open free market for western nations to dump their excess food grains here. This is where we have lost control over capitalism and the western nations are beginning to swallow us again for the second time after 70 years of independence.
