need some help with the last part where you use your pinky and thumb to push the middle deck out. how do you "grip" that middle deck?

Instead of ending the flourish by rotating the packet around your thumb, I actually use the packet where you stick it to make a sandwich it to kick the upper packet of the revolution before it finishes while maintaining my right hand grip and catching the packet with my left hand, then I perform the throw in Olive since the grip is pretty much the same, then I do torque with the last packet :P Just a variation for anyone who's interested.
