The TikTok trend of filing teeth with a nail fire is making many people horrified. The DIY dental procedure is giving dentists a toothache. “When I saw these videos, I almost fell off my chair,” said Dr. Kami Hoss. “We get one set of teeth and once you file it down, it's never going to grow back.” One person who tried filing her teeth wrote in the caption of her TikTok, “Whatever you do don’t do this. When you file your teeth your removing the outermost layer of your Enamel (the hard white part of your teeth)
Enamel does not grow back/regenerate so if you file too deep you end up with highly sensitive teeth for life.
