I feel so compelled to write this. She taught me how to sew while in quarantine. I looked for her when I needed sewing inspo. She taught me how to sew my first quilt.

A precious and very beautiful soul she has. I’m sure she’s resting easy in heaven sewing and crocheting pieces for her loved ones when they are reunited. ❤️

I have cancer right now and am going through chemotherapy. I found her page trying to learn to crochet. Why does this happen to us we are the same age. 😢 She was beautiful. I’m glad her husband was there for her. I am alone. But I am happy to know she was comforted. It’s so hard to be alone and so sick. I am sending all that knew her a big spiritual hug.

Why am I crying? I didn't even know her. This popped up in my feed. RIP beautiful.

I WILL ALWAYS be Grateful to Melanie Ham, she got me through depression by teaching me how to crochet blankets for others. I have been an R.N. For 22 years and I had to retire early due to illness. I live with Lupus. I’m Always in pain, fatigued and just sick. Melanie brought not only me joy, but MANY, MANY, MANY newborns, toddlers and adults. Because of Melanie, I’ve made many blankets. I Love You, Melanie. You’ll Always be a part of MY HEALING LIFE. R.I.P. Melanie.🙏🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️

I made my first quilt at age 66 after watching one of her tutorial for beginners. May I grow to be like her for the rest of my life. Condolences to her family and friends. Melanie Ham will live on forever.

I finished my first ever quilt this week using her tutorials. She made me believe anything was possible and gave me the courage to try. Thank you, Melanie. You were a beautiful light in this dark world.

I found crochet again after my daughter's sudden tragic passing in 2017, forever 8. I needed to do something that kept my brain busy but wanted to create things as beautiful as she was. I came across Melanie's channel after her passing but it's true you watch her videos and feel like you know her. I love what the pastor said at the end "they're not lost we know where they are". I really needed to hear that and I have no doubt Melanie is up there showing my girl how to crochet. Thank you for continuing to share her with us. I will create with Melanie in my heart along with so many others. Lots of prayers and love Lily's Mommy❤🐞

I stumbled upon Melanie’s channel on YouTube during a dark period of my life. She taught me how to crochet, then how to sew when the pandemic began. She will always be in my heart. She was a bright shining light and will shine forever. I pray for peace for her family until you are reunited.

She was such a beautiful sweet spirit. Her physical beauty was only outshined but her inner beauty. Even though I didn’t know her, she felt like a friend. I truly enjoyed all her wonderful videos.I’m so very sorry.

7 years ago, Melanie taught me how to crochet my first baby blanket. Today, going through my saved videos I stumbled across her amazing tutorials again. To then come across this and learn of her passing is so sad. Blessings to her family and may you rest in paradise Melanie.

I just watched the entire beautiful service. Robert thank you for your service. I followed your dear wife in the crochet world and now I will follow her in her quilting world as i begin to prepare for my very first quilt making it from my husbands shirts who passed in late 2020. As I fumble through the experience I will hold close to my heart my husband and Melanie who will guide me through the process. People will go away but the love we hold will never die. Melanie thank you for all your gifts. Hugs

I am a retired teacher aged 73 years and was looking online for quilting for beginners & came across your beautiful & charming wife’s tutorials. She was amazing! As I read some of the comments, It was sad to learn that she is no more on earth. I watched the movie video on her life & cancer journey & wept for the life cut short of such a talented and creative woman who faced her illness bravely with a smile & tremendous positivity. My heart goes out to you, Robert for being a ‘rock’ of strength & caring & to your children who are lucky to have had an exceptional role model to emulate as they move forward with their lives!
Melanie has given me the motivation to try out quilting.

This is so sad. I just found her this evening. I haven’t seen anyone teach as clear and succinct on YouTube as she did so I went looking for what other videos she made. Very sad to see this video, but it looks like she left quite the impression here on Youtube and in her personal life.
