Some of the tools I have made in my workshop. I show a slide hammer, a squareness comparator and a knurling tool.
There are quite a few more so let me know if you would like to see more videos like this.
Also this is a challenge to other creators. Show your shop made tools!! Let's see them!
Use the hashtag #SHOPMADETOOLS and we can setup a playlist.

They are all very nicely precisely made useful tools John, they way over my ability working that accurately. Tony

Deriving squareness - excellent! Only heard people talking about calibrating from a "known" square before...

cool bits john, I think if I made a response video, it'd be over an hour long showing all of the homemade tools Ive made, lol.

Some nice tooling made up there, like you say having a surface grinder is handy for that sort of stuff if you want to make the tools look pro. That knurling tool is very cool!

"Because I stuffed up the diameter- because less friction" 😂

Thanks for sharing. Nice bunch of kits you have there. On the squareness comparator, I think you will find that the fine adjust (provided by the flexure) is significantly more effective if you orient the indicator stylist pointing straight up as opposed to straight down. I suspect the reason you thought the adjuster wasn’t very responsive is the stylist tip effective radius changes very little since it’s height is at same height of the flexure. Hope that makes sense and is useful. All the best. 👍👍😎👍😎

Stefan Gottiswinter. I think I’ve got the spelling right. His site is one of the most interesting projects on YouTube. Regards

Hello John,
I thought I had watched this a couple months ago but apparently I didn't. Great stuff. I have been wanting to make a scissor knurling tool for a long time. I really like that design, nice job. And thanks again for getting a hashtag going, great idea!
All the best!

Hi John thanks for the video. I am a 71 year old newbie. What was the website that you used to get the drawings for the knurling tool
