You may be a “low maintenance friend” and your friend(s) may be a “high maintenance” friend. You may just have to communicate to your friend how much you do care and cherish the friendship and that you are available for them during a time of need but you may not necessarily be the friend that talks to them on the phone for hours or all day like they want. Sometimes those friends need the reassurance since they demand a lot, I’ve experienced that myself but I think once they understand how you are as a person/friend they will understand y’all’s friendship dynamic and won’t constantly be questioning your friendship just because y’all aren’t in constant communication every second of the day. It’s funny that you mentioned this, AllyiahsFace just posted a sit down video where she covered this topic on her YT and I think it’s around the 20 minute mark but she breaks down being a LM friend so well, I personally am also a low maintenance friend and i can definitely relate to what you did/did not say lol

I’m just going to say from personal experience with a past friend of mine whom I still love and adore and hold in high regard. Even if you try to maintain the relationship chances are it actually won’t even be enough. I view friendship the exact same way you do especially with being a mom of 3 and I just don’t have the capacity! Anyway she completely unfriended me and cut me off completely right in the middle of a time where I had just started anti depressants and was trying to deal with it and process. Not having the expectation and quota requirement to stress about has been 👌🏼.
