BEST TONERS FOR-

HELLOOOOOO EVERYBODY!

Today we are going back to basics and breaking down toners. What are they, why should you use them, how should you use them and what is the best toner for oily skin, dry skin, combination skin and acne prone skin.

Toner is considered one of the most basic steps in the skincare routine ( cleanser toner moisturizer ) and it is one of my favourite steps!

And with skincare, comes a lot of jargon! Such as PH Balance, toner, skins, beauty water. And today we brake all that down!

In this series, we will be breaking down

- Toner

- Exfoliator

- Essence

- Serum

- Eye Cream

- Moisturiser

- Oils

- Face masks ( clay mask, sheet masks, over night masks )

and other skincare treatments. (vitamin C etc )

As always, leave all questions for me down below :)

I like how you explain dynamics, physics and science of "how" instead of "what to use"
Which is very rare in youtube

The only channel about skin care that I don’t feel overwhelmed by. I brought body shop cleanser and toner and I reacted to it so trying to find the right stuff for my skin.

I’ve always liked toners but the quality of Toners that I was using was making my skin overproduce sebum especially in my tzone area because they contained alcohol. Your channel helped me to truly understand the importance of toners to moisturization and to be sure to look at ingredients. Thanks to you I now use Innisfree Blueberry Toner and IsnTree 50% Hyaluronic Toner. Thanks for your great advice. ♥️

I’ve so used to only using my hands but I just got this SUPER watery toner and I feel like it slides down my arms before I even get it to my face *face palm* so I’m back again to rediscover different ways. Thank you James! 😘

You've literally changed my skin care routine! I've never really used toner on my skin as I have eczema and it drys it out but watching your video you've educated me on how toner works.

I've always believed toners still have a high quantity of alcohol in them like they did in the 2000s but doing some more research and watching this video and your product review on rice tonner and omg what a life changing product!

I've now brought myself some rice milk toner and it's completely changed my skin care my oils and moisturiser goes deeper into my skin and give me the glowing look I've been trying to get for months now.

I always thought toner was just to restore your pH balance but its completely changed my routine

Just want to say a big thank you so much for posting this video! It has helped me so much.

Hi James. Hope you have stressless move. The only thing I will say about moving make sure you have all the alcohol, glasses, bottle opener and chocolate at hand all times preferably all in one big box. It doesn't make moving any easier but it helps to dull the pain.

I'm having a very bad breakout and I'm afraid to wear any skin care products as I don't want to make it worse. But I always fantasize that someday I'll be able to do my own skin care routine.

OMG You are my life saver! With 101 skin care. For some reason I didnt pay much attencion with what I use for my oily skin. I was just mad about it and do nothing about it. Now i try to cope with my skin a little bit more, but I didnt know how. In Poland a lot of skin care product for oily skin was drying my skin and they made it worse! And luckily then i found you and it changed my life forever! that was what I needed. Because a lot of people and beauty gurus say" you have oily skin you nieed this really expensive product that i use" instead of talking about indegrents to look for in products, so you ban find cheaper one instead. Thank you once again.

Actually, when you mentioned the sponge thing, it made sense to the way I know it (agriculture student here). Totally dry soil doesn't absorb moisture well at all, due to surface tension, it just kinda sits there on the surface in a puddle. If it's already slightly wet, it makes it easier for the new wet to mix with the old wet. For example we did an experiment with soapy water and plain water poured over grassy soil to see which adsorbed at a faster rate and the soapy water won by a long shot, as the soap broke the surface tension and was able to penetrate the surface. I can see this being the same with a toner, it breaks the surface tension on your skin cell walls and allows it to seep in, especially on an already damp skin. Where if you shower and dry your skin and apply skin care later, it may have difficulty absorbing, which is probably when a toner is totally necessary to get your products in your skin. 👌

I'm using both the Pixi Glow and Rose Tonic! Rose Tonic in the morning and Glow Tonic in the evening and I love them so much, they're honestly the best toners I've used so far!! Especially the Rose Tonic helps with the redness I'm prone to experiencing xx
