Celine Dion Diagnosed With Rare Disease, May Never Perform Again

Celine Dion shares some personal news with her fans. In an emotional video posted to Instagram on Thursday, the 54-year-old singer reveals she is battling Stiff-Person Syndrome, a rare and incurable neurological disease. Celine says that while she's finally figured out what is causing her health issues, adding that the disorder has impacted her daily life and how she performs on stage. As she focuses on her recovery, Celine reveals she will no longer be able to embark on her scheduled tour through Europe.

How incredibly sad. I feel like the loss of Renee was the catalyst for her autoimmune issues. She has always held everything inside and been nothing but a consummate professional. She never told people when she was down. Always a smile and graciousness. Always gratitude for those that support her. To think that her concern is that she comes back to share her gift with us is so sad. I hope she gets well for her children. And, if she is well enough to sing, so be it. But she has done enough.
