Training | QA - Junior Quality Assurance Engineer Role

Показать описание
The role of a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer is pretty simple. Understand the Product. Understand how the Product will be used. You are mostly executing manual Test Cases. It's basically a set of instructions to follow. When you find issues, they are called "bugs", and you write a bug in a bug database. Once the developers fix these bugs and put up a new build, you verify that the bugs are fixed. The rest of the time, you're just trying to make sense of the technological world. Understand the tools, understand the technologies, and understand the QA Methodology being used at the company. That's it. Do these things, and you'll succeed.

Here's a trick. In order to get a job you need experience, in order to get the experience you need to get a job... It can be rough and tough at the beginning but once you're in it only goes up from there.

We had a manual test script that was 180 steps... 180!!!! It was a full days test. It was just a monthly necessary test when the customer devices got a huge update remotely sent. But good God, it was the mother of all tests, we kept that test away from newly hired employees (we wouldn't want them to quit so soon lol).

Thanks. I'm currently applying for an internship as a QA engineer, and this definitely helped.

"There's a Bachelors degree required.... Nah" hahaha cracking up. I'm getting into tech work so this was interesting.

Nice laid back intro video on QA. Helpful and funny too (I like your goof at the end). Good job fellow Korean!

I really am interested in this series. i am struggling to get a Job in Qa beyond manual testing. I can build entire frameworks with Selenium and Appium. I know about backend database validation with SQL. I know th basics of regression testing using REST API's. I can use Jmeter and locust for load testing. Yet and still no one will hire me because I lack formal experience. Learning from you might help me.

An interview take home assessment had me do testing for a rest api. Prior to that I only had experience with the mern stack for the most part. Setting up the tests was so interesting! It was like intellectually digesting the already working endpoints in a different way. Question: can this job position transition into a “regular” dev role with frontend, backend, or full stack, etc.?

I have a QA Engineering internship interview this coming Monday.. phone screen wasn’t technical. Just talked about some projects. Seems like the interview Monday will be a little more technical. I’m just nervous because I’m so used to writing software and I’ve never had an internship so I feel like I’m gonna bomb lol

Mr.Kim I totally do not agree with you. If we follow the above recommendation the company product will not succeed, but fail. Quality comes from the quality team.
