Anytime a recipe says to use the oven, you know it isn't an authentic Mexican recipe. Mexicans don't use ovens for cooking. They use them for storage.

the first recipe is a tlayuda and its from the state of oaxaca, it's amazing cuz actually is a really accuracy to the original recipe, i can tell cuz my grandfather's family is from oaxaca.... actually it really surprise me that he used original chapulines

Need a "Mexican Moms Make Margaritas" video, asap! (Xochitl made me think of it at end of video!). Maybe also a "Mexican Hangover Cures" vidoe after that, lol!

I love how the older lady is the most understanding and probably more experienced the other two were low key hating.

Once you see Gordon work with kids and and specifically young chefs or disabled children you see how great of a guy he really is. He is very competitive with his adult cooks and he can be mean and intimidating sometimes but he is a great chef and an awesome role model all around .

To this day a lot of people didn't know that the Caesar salad was invented in Tijuana Mexico

I have never heard the saying invited to the "carne asada"! Thats great. Im half Mexican but raised by my mother in a black household so we say if someones invited to "the cookout". I love hearing that other cultures have their own version lol

Jamie Oliver next, with Lulu watching... I would pay anything for her to roast him and call him "foo" 😂😂😂😂

Gordon travelled to Mexico to learn some of the recipes. He has a series where he travels around the world learning new things.

Despite being from England, it’s funny how Lupe calls him and his food Americanized.

Caesar Salad is one of the most fascinating foods historically. Created in Mexico by an Italian immigrant who had a lot of tourist guests from the US since the US had Prohibition. Thanks Hollywood drunks!

What should we have the mamah's react to next?

They probably won't see this but how about get the mamas react to 'kitchen nightmares' with Mexican themed restaurants

Nothing beats sitting in the living room as 3 generations are making dinner and know you'd just be in the way there . Best thing you can do is go get some drinks . Somehow it all comes together at the same time and you're ready for a feast .

I mean the tlayuda was ok frijoles and asiento is the most traditional one and grasshoppers are a pretty common, sad to see that most didn't recognized the dish, the torta with choriqueso was good too the cilantro in it was a bit weird since we usually use it fresh not cooked into the chorizo but otherwise good
