I love this ending so much. A lot of people don’t seem to understand the emotional magnitude of this version of the ending. She literally sang about how she had no one else to turn to and now she has everyone who will support her no matter what. She is a part of both worlds now.

I love this scene so much. King Triton in the end accepts Eric as his new son-in-law.

This part, along with the scene before it never fails to make me cry so hard.

I guess the reason why the 2023 ending makes me cry is because Ariel thought that her family forgot about her now that she is human, and just about as she set sails with Eric her father came along with her family and the rest of the mer-people and they made amends with the humans. And don't get me started with Javier Bardiem's speech about hearing yourself and that he'll always be there for Ariel along with the rest of the merfolk. It was also cool that Ariel finally cried for the first time since mermaids can't cry whereas now she's human permanently.

"But a mermaid has no tears. And therefore, she suffers so much more."

Ariel's tears weren't tears of sadness, they were tears of joy. This is how humans and merfolk should live: Two worlds united as one. ❤💜💚🧜🏻‍♀️🧜🏽‍♀️

The very beautiful instrumental rendition of Part of Your World definitely fit this ending.

Seeing this movie in the theater the second time around was just as wonderful as seeing it the first time around.

I love how the ending how she cry’s showing she is now fully human and fully herself ❤

A very touching part, both in a heartwarming and tearjerking way! 🥰😢😭 Not only that, but the music played in this scene is also heartwarming and tearjerking!

Okay, after finally watching this movie after unfortunately missing out, I can confirm that this moment is one of my absolute favorites from this film. ^^

This is the best ending. Ariel is finally a part of both worlds and Eric is finally letting his island grow while sailing the wild uncharted waters. 🎼🌊 Thank you Halle Bailey for the role of Ariel and Jonah Hauer King for the role of Eric.

Music and visuals combined are a heck of a thing. There’s two parts of this where I felt myself get MORE emotional than I already was. 1) when he told her she shouldn’t have had to lose her voice to be heard and now he’s listening 2) right on the instrumental where it would have actually been the words “part of your world” and she hugs him. The WAY he hugs her back just had me like 🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭😭😭. Then combine that with everyone being there for her all gathered together, which is a massive deal considering how Triton feels about humans. Just…the way in which this is done makes me emotional no matter how many times I watch it.

This part is the only part in this film where King Triton interacts with Prince Eric.

I’m so happy for Ariel and Eric they are going to adventure out to sea I’m also glad that her father gave her back her legs and I’m also glad her sisters accepted Eric as their new brother-in-law.

"You shouldn't have had to give up your voice to be heard".

That's literally what that kind of parenting does. When you don't listen to your children they stop talking to you. I love this methaphore.
