I definitely remember shopping in the garment district! Don't worry y'all, this is not typical LA shopping! This is a special area in LA where u can get great deals on fabrics only! Hehehe

I just love watching you.. I regret that I didn’t learn from my Mom, she’s one of a kind dressmaker.She hanbeaded wedding gowns too, did embroidery, sewn dresses/clothes of all kinds, well she was a teacher (dressmaking), had her masters, professor became asst to the Dean of her college… her work paved our way to college. She’s long gone and everytime I see your hands work, it brings memories of my Mom. I have my utmost admiration to you bec you inspire, educate help a lot of us.

I loved shopping in the fabric district. Got some beautiful fabric finds at fantastic prices including the silk taffeta I used for my wedding dress. A little secret is not to be afraid to haggle.
